Brittney Elko

Brittney Elko holds the position of Region Collegiate Representative for Region C.  Brittney is graduating from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX this May with a B.S. in Engineering Science (emphasis in Chemical) and a minor in Mathematics. Brittney is also currently president of the Trinity SWE section of which she was elected in her sophomore year and grew membership more than 107% with 80% of women in engineering as members. She also serves on the committee for the 2008 Region C Conference which Trinity and UT-San Antonio will co-host in San Antonio this March.

Brittney is Co-President of Trinity Women In Science & Technology and is the lead news anchor for Trinity’s news show – Newswave. She also finds time to play on the women’s golf team as well as involve herself in other volunteer activities such as event chair for Women’s History Month and FACE AIDS, an AIDS awareness group.

 

Throughout her career at Trinity, Brittney has had numerous internship opportunities including two summers working at Mustang Engineering in Houston, Texas and spending this past summer in Bakersfield, California working for Chevron on an upstream project.

 

Brittney is excited to be fulfilling this position of Region C Collegiate Representative and is planning on working in industry when she graduates where she will continue to be involved in SWE as a professional.
