Health, Safety, Environmental,

and Facilities Leader

 

Responsible for the leadership of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities (HSE&F) functions at the Honeywell Irving Aftermarket Services site as needed to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements, as well as customer and internal requirements. This is a leadership position reporting jointly to the Irving AMS Site Leader and the Americas AvEl HSE&F Leader.

 

Specific duties of the position include:  

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Corporate/AMS goals, policies and procedures
  • Coordinate the execution of actions within the organization necessary for successful management of the physical plant and implementation of HS&E, Medical & Workers Comp processes
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve HSE performance and operations; including safety improvement programs and corrective actions, environmental protection projects, conservation activities, and projects focused on improving facility efficiency and meeting readiness objectives such as a preventive maintenance program.  Define and lead HSE improvement initiatives across the site (ergonomics, industrial hygiene, engineering controls, PPE, waste management, etc)
  • Manage workers compensation claims and files, with support from Human Resources.
  • Identify opportunities to successfully integrate HSE programs/activities into overall business operations
  • Participate on and identify improvement opportunities for the Emergency Response Team and Joint Health and Safety Committee
  • Evaluate health, safety and environmental impacts of implementing new floor plan layouts and work processes prior to site introduction
  • Respond to health and safety concerns raised by employees and participate in accident/incident investigations
  • Interface with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, applications for permits, etc)
  • Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation/application of acts/regulations related to HS&E
  • Develop and successfully manage to the site HS&E budget.
  • Review all corrective actions related to HS&E and facilities issues, and ensure that actions are implemented and effective.

Summary:

We have an immediate need for a licensed electrical engineer to lead our industrial consulting projects. This group does power, lighting and auxiliary systems design for new industrial plants and modifying existing industrial plants. Projects range from warehouses to complex EPC contract with wiring and routing for heavy industrial processes and overseeing electrical contractors.

 

The successful candidate will represent CH2M Hill’s electrical expertise on assignments. This position is the direct contact for electrical engineering, meets with clients in-person to define electrical requirements, budget and scope and ensures client. Lead Electrical Engineers will take projects from start to finish.

Summary:

Assist in planning, scheduling and coordinating detailed phases of engineering work. Assist in determining scope of project work. Prepare and coordinate engineering reports, studies, calculations, and check drawings as required. Participate in conferences with the client to establish project objectives and resolve design problems. Execute work within labor-hour budget and schedule. Provide detail design sketches to designers and drafters. Responsible for the collection of field information and resolving field problems. Prepare technical specifications for equipment and construction. The Travel Requirement is 25%

 

Basic Qualifications

·         5 years of civil site work experience including grading, storm drainage, site utilities and permitting.

·         PE is required

·         Minimum of five years experience working in design and construction of industrial facilities including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, aerospace & aviation, food & beverage, general manufacturing and/or advanced technology

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         Design experience should include stormwater and sanitary sewer collection systems, stormwater detention ponds, erosion and sediment control, site utility systems, asphalt and concrete pavement, industrial railroads, layout and planning of site roads and parking areas.

·         Must have good computer skills (Microsoft) and AutoCad experience.

·         Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas.

Job Description

·         Function as lead design engineer and Technical discipline lead, responsible for all technical staff in the Department, and all coordination of projects.

·         Will develop project work plan and execute within budget and scope.  Will assist in the development of inexperienced personnel.

 

Basic Qualifications

·         BS in Structural Engineering required

·         Must be a registered professional engineer

·         Minimum of 10 years working in design and construction of industrial facilities

·         Must have good computer skills (Microsoft) and AutoCad experience. 

·         Must have supervisory experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         MS degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

·         Familiarity with  STAAD, Ramsteel, Enercale desirable.

·         Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas.

·         10 to 15 years working in design and construction of industrial facilities including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, aerospace & aviation, food & beverage, general manufacturing and advanced technology. 

·         Ability to supervise personnel and interface with clients and other disciplines. 

·         Must have ability to estimate projects, both effort hours and capital cost.

Job Description

Immediate opening for an Assistant Electrical Engineer to design lighting and electrical power systems for commercial and industrial buildings. This position is responsible for the design of power distribution systems, lighting systems and auxiliary systems. Engineering is primarily for industrial facilities. Supervision will be provided by experienced professional electrical engineers and designers. Some travel will be required.

 

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)

* 1-3 years experience in electrical engineer

The Field Engineer is completely responsible for all aspects of the Schlumberger operation at the job site, be it a seismic vessel, an offshore oil rig, or a desert land rig. Field Engineers progress through a structured training program lasting 30-36 months and spend an average of five years (in total) working in the field. This experience prepares the Field Engineer for advancement into a variety of management, technical, marketing and/or personnel roles. Field Engineers are given a great deal of independence and responsibility and must have a high degree of self-sufficiency. The job requires the ability to work under pressure and thrive in a variety of outdoor, 24-hour work environments. A sense of adventure is a must!
