The Power of Diversity

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is the driving force that establishes engineering and technology as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. Founded in 1950, SWE is a not-for-profit educational and service organization with 300 collegiate and 100 professional sections nationwide, as well as members-at-large. It empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.

The Power of Your Professional Association

Membership in SWE cultivates a lifetime of success. It is the preeminent not-for-profit organization in the engineering community and technical societies and respected among corporations and organizations seeking women engineers. The special programming and networking targeted to women’s needs has helped thousands of women become successful since SWE’s founding. It’s the kind of power that helps and supports you in college and throughout your career.

Members benefit from programs and partnerships SWE provides in career services, professional development, networking and more; and we promote diversity of gender, ethnicity and thought in all of its programs targeting K-12 students through executive-level professionals.
