SWE - Chicago Regional Section

Please join SWE CRS in planning our upcoming fiscal year. If you have ideas for programs, tours, or speakers we would love to have your input. This is also a great opportunity to learn about the section and get more involved. If you can't stay the whole day, stop by and join us for part of the day or fill out a volunteer form and let us know what you are interested in.

PLACE:	FermiLab - Batavia, IL
COST:	Free! The section will provide coffee (regular & decaf) and tea. You will be able to purchase breakfast and lunch at the FermiLab cafeteria. Estimated cost of both meals is $10.
RSVP:	By the end of the day on Tuesday, July 15th to swechicago@yahoo.com so that you are placed on the Security Clearance List.

Building-specific directions:
Note: You will be going to Wilson Hall... the tallest building on the Fermi Campus!

As you face Wilson Hall... park on the left side (or east side) of the building, enter the ground level doors, go down the hall to the left and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Directions will be placed on the ground level and the 1st level elevators. If you should become disoriented... find a phone and dial 0 and ask that operator to page Mayling Wong at 1134. We will call you back and locate you!

From Chicago From Chicago, travel west on the Eisenhower (I-290) to I-88 (40 cents) Exit I-88 at the Farnsworth exit, north or right (30 cents). Farnsworth becomes Kirk Road. Follow Kirk Road to Pine Street. Turn right at Pine Street, Fermilab's main entrance.

From O'Hare Airport From O'Hare, take I-90 east toward Chicago. After just a couple of miles, take I-294 south, toward Indiana (40 cents) From I-294 take the exit to I-88, the east-west tollway, toward Aurora (40 cents). From I-88, take the Farnsworth exit (30 cents). Turn north onto Farnsworth. Farnsworth becomes Kirk Road. Follow Kirk Road to Pine Street. Turn right on Pine Street, the Main Entrance to Fermilab.

From Midway Airport Take Cicero Avenue North to the Stevenson Expressway South (I-55) to I-355 North (toward Northern Suburbs). Take I-355 to the East-West tollway (I-88). Take I-88 West for approximately 10 miles to the Farnsworth North Exit and turn right. Travel 2.9 miles to the Pine Street entrance to the Fermilab site.
