PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 

Professional Development (PD) Conference

SWE CRS plans a one-day professional development conference for ~ 75 people.

Date: March 2010

 

Sponsorship Level: Platinum

Amount: Valued at $4,500

Provide the facility and food for the PD conference.

Benefits include:

  1. 15 minutes provided to organization during conference to welcome attendees
  2. Organization’s name and logo printed in the conference materials
  3. Three (3) employees from the sponsoring organization attend the PD conference for free.
  4. Organization recognized in the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

 

Sponsorship Level: Gold or Silver

Amount: Valued at $500 - $3,000

Underwrite all or partial costs for the PD conference including:

    • Publicity
    • Audio/visual
    • Conference printed materials
    • Mailing
    • Speakers
    • Centerpieces
    • Prizes/giveaways

Benefits include:

  1. Acknowledgement of sponsorship announced during the PD conference.
  2. Organization’s name and logo printed in the conference materials.
  3. One (1) employee from the sponsoring organization attends the PD conference for free.
  4. Organization recognized in the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

 

 

 

 

Professional Development Meetings

Sponsor a professional development meeting with SWE professional members.  Sponsorship applies toward providing a meeting location for the event, as well as purchasing food and refreshments at the meeting. 

Sponsorship Level: Sponsor

Amount: $400

Benefits include:

  1. Organization’s sponsorship recognition at the professional development event and advertising.  
  2. Five minutes provided during the meeting to introduce and promote the sponsoring organization.
  3. Organization recognized in the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

 

Tours

Sponsor a tour for SWE professional members.  Sponsorship applies toward providing a tour location and any admission fees.   

Sponsorship Level: Sponsor

Amount: $400

Benefits include:

  1. Organization’s sponsorship recognition at the tour event and advertising.  
  2. Five minutes provided during the tour to introduce and promote the sponsoring organization.
  3. Organization recognized in the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

 

 

AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Awards Banquet

The Awards Banquet is a great time for SWE members to meet, network, and celebrate a successful year.  We congratulate our scholarship recipients, thank our corporate sponsors, distribute section awards, and award the Golden Family and Collegiate Sections awards. 

Date:  June 2010

Sponsorship Level: Silver

Amount: $500 per table

Sponsorship applies towards purchasing a table at the Awards Banquet. 

Benefits include:

  1. Attendance of up to 8 people at the table.
  2. Organization name displayed on the table.
  3. Organization recognized in the Award Banquet program and the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.
  4. Excellent networking opportunities at the banquet.

 

Scholarship

Provide a scholarship for high school senior girls who will be studying engineering in college.  The scholarship will be presented at the Awards Banquet.

Awards Banquet Date: June 2010

Sponsorship Level: Gold

Amount: $1,500 per scholarship

Benefits include:

  1. Scholarship named after the sponsoring organization.
  2. Organization presents the scholarship to the award recipient at the Awards Banquet.
  3. Organization recognized in the Award Banquet program and the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

 

Best Collegiate Section Award

Provide monetary awards for the best SWE collegiate sections, first, second and third place.

Eligible universities include: Northwestern University, Notre Dame, University of Illinois Chicago , Valparaiso , Northern Illinois University , Purdue University Calumet and the Illinois Institute of Technology.  Awards will be presented at the Awards Banquet.

Awards Banquet Date: June 2010

Sponsorship Level: Gold

Amount: $1,500

Benefits include:

  1. Award given out under the organization’s name.
  2. Organization representative seated with the best collegiate section website award recipients. 
  3. Organization recognized in the Award Banquet program and the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

 

Best Collegiate Section Website Award

Sponsor the Golden Family Award, which recognizes an organization that best supports families and working mothers in the workplace.  The award will be presented at the Awards Banquet.

Amount: $250

Benefits include:

  1. Organization representative can present the award to the recipient at the Awards Banquet.

Organization recognized in the Award Banquet program and the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

 

 

COLLEGIATE SUPPORT

 

Collegiate Section Liaison Meeting

Sponsor a meeting with SWE collegiate sections.  Sponsorship applies toward purchasing food and refreshments at the meeting.  Potential students attending the event include Northwestern University , Notre Dame, University of Illinois Chicago , Valparaiso , Northern Illinois University , Purdue University Calumet and the Illinois Institute of Technology. 

Dates: Spring 2010 and Fall 2010

Sponsorship Level: Silver or Sponsor

Amount: $300+

Benefits include:

  1. Organization’s participation and recognition at the collegiate section liaison event.  
  2. Organization recognized in the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter

 

 

 

OUTREACH

 

Outreach – Engineers Week

Sponsor an Engineers Week - Outreach Activity for kids ages K-12 to increase awareness of engineering for girls and encourage them to consider a career in engineering.   Sponsorship applies toward purchasing supplies for outreach activity, advertising the event, and any prizes/giveaways. 

Date: February 2010

Sponsorship Level: Silver or Sponsor

Amount: $300+

Benefits include:

  1. Organization’s participation and recognition at the outreach event and advertising. 
  2. Organization recognized in the SWE-CRS Commemorative Newsletter.

Sponsorship Levels

 

Platinum - $4500 and above

Gold - $1500 - $4499

Silver - $500 - $1499

 

An organization’s sponsorship level is recognized based on cumulative donations within a fiscal year. Your organization also has the following sponsorship opportunities:

1.      Donate money or services to sponsor a variety of specific programs and events.

2.      Provide general funding for our daily operating expenses.
