Entry Level Job Description:

We are currently staffing a challenging, career position for software and/or hardware applications developers in a dynamic, high-tech telecommunications company. Our company conducts performance and security testing on wireless telecommunications software and hardware. The Software Development Engineer will be directly responsible for the development of new software/hardware applications for the wireless telecommunications industry. Each project will require various technical skills and therefore requires a well rounded, experienced, and adaptable individual. ComSource will provide training.  The ideal candidate will have experience:

  • Analyzing equipment and software in a laboratory environment to test performance and uncover vulnerabilities.
  • Developing software code, stand alone software applications, and hardware applications to help improve performance and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Working with a development team to create and take to market new software and hardware applications.
  • Working independently and as a member of a team
  • Interfacing with clients and maintaining a consultant mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the telecommunications or wireless networking industries preferred
  • The drive to deliver quality products in a timely manner
  • Self-motivated individuals

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills and ability to learn new technology as required 
  • 3+ years programming experience using structured development methodologies
  • 3+ years experience using two or more of the following programming languages: Java, C/C++, or Assembly Language
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field

To provide mechanical engineering support for the design, fabrication, and implementation of equipment improvements relative to tooling problems, equipment test, equipment installations, new process evaluation, specifications, justification and equipment modifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops mechanical designs that when implemented will achieve effective desired improvement on existing plant equipment, process and facilities as well as introduction of new processes.
  • Evaluates current process and facilities as well as introduction of new processes.
  • Develops project costs estimates for proposed equipment improvements.
  • Develops design, installation, and start up documents (includes drawings, specification, operating guidelines, etc.)
  • Supervises the fabrication, installation and initial operation of equipment using company personnel and outside contractor services.
  • Provides technical support to maintenance on problem resolution and training.
  • Maintains Engineering equipment archives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: BS Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: 5-7 years Manufacturing/Chemical plant experience preferred; 3-5 years managing capital projects
