SWE-Hartford again joined with the local NSBE & SHPE chapters to host an Engineering Design competition for local high school students. This year's event was held at Hartford Public HS and also included students from Bloomfield & University High Schools. A total of 26 students participated in creating a wonderfully diverse set of 'engineless vehicles' that traveled across the cafeteria floor in unusual ways. They also learned a bit of multicultural history, by playing 'Scavenger Hunt Bingo". Each student filled out a bingo card with information learned by reading about famous inventors from each of the Societies' presentation boards as well as talking to the volunteers about their organizations.

Thanks to all the volunteers from the 3 organizations that helped make this event possible. We'll see you again next year!
