JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures that building and material handling design solutions are fully integrated and provide predictable deliverables (e.g., throughput). Leads the evaluation of current designs against standards as well as the research into new opportunities.

·       Manage the design process to develop concept and detailed design recommendations that integrate process, infrastructure and systems, provide flexibility for expansion and can deliver the improvements necessary to support the business.

·       Oversee the assessment of current designs against expected metrics and the development of recommendations to bring under-performing designs to goal as well as enhancements to exceed current capabilities.

·       Lead the research into new solutions to expand our current capabilities. Develop recommendations, including economic justifications and value propositions.

·       Develop standards for all material handling components. Manage the development of specification summaries. Provide subject matter expertise to others in the Supply Chain, including Procurement, Field IE and Lean Six Sigma resources.

·       Ad hoc assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in a related field typically required for this position

·       Minimum of 8 to 10 years related work experience typically required for this position

·       Strong knowledge of material handling equipment solutions and logistics operations

·       Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to details

·       Flexible, adaptable team player with demonstrated initiative

·       Computer skills including Microsoft Access, Excel and CAD

·       Familiar with economic evaluation and justification
